I believe perception and reality are indeed different things, but sometimes a perception becomes general opinion, and this makes it hard to differ from reality. Beauty is one of those things, its patterns are so much of a general opinion that they become a rule. This is confirmed by the fact that what is beautiful varies depending on the culture and the age.

Perception & reality are different, unfortunatelyyyy people love to interpret & take their PERSONAL perceptions as ACTUALITY. Just as the saying goes “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder” so does everybody’s “reality”. We must learn to separate personal opinion from FACT. Once we do this we will be able to co-exist a little better, I believe. ?
