Say it's not soooooo. Manny Pacquiao, the good guy, the guy that we all loved to love iiiiiiiiis apparently a bigoted homophobic.
He's been running for office in his homeland of the Philippines and while campaigning he made some uh, off centered comments. I mean, they can't be that bad and I'm sure the media is just twisting up whatever he said and Nike's just covering their ass with being politically correct, right? Here's what he said...
"Have you seen any animal having male-to-male or female-to-female relations? If you have male-to-male or female-to-female relationships, then people are worse than animals."
Ok, so... Maybe it is as bad as it sounds.

Nike responded in an official statement after Pacquiao's comments cost him his multimillion deal:
"We find Manny Pacquiao's comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community."
Buuuuuut wait, says Pacquiao. It's not what it looks like. He apologized. HE SAID HE WAS SORRY!!!
"I'm sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I hurt. God Bless."

That apology kinda sounds like when your fighting with someone in the 3rd grade. Your mom hooks you up with the good juice box. Not that generic Costco brand but i'm talkin muh fuckin Capri Sun type shit. That tropical fruit punch. I can fuckin' taste it. Anyway. Here comes your friend, all jealous and shit. They steal your juice box and THEN, to top it off, the shit spills on the floor AND on your new white kicks... Words are exchanged. Your teacher gets involved. She grabs you both by the collar of your shirt and puts you face to face. You both catch a glimpse of each others eyes and look away. Mean muggin the FUUUUCK out that floor. That's what the fuck that apology sounds like.
Even though the Nike cut will be a hit to his pocket, hopefully he stashed away some of the $100+ Million that he made with his loss to Mayweather last year.

Your 3rd grade story is so detailed, are you sure that’s fiction? Haha, but now being serious. The worst part of all this Pacquiao story is that he represents a significant part of society. In Brazilian Facebook news pages, the most liked comments were the ones supporting him, talking about freedom of speech, as if he had simply given a respectful opinion over a subject. Fuck this, what he did has nothing to do with that, he said some disrespectful, homophobic shit and that’s far from right.
